Marvel Cinematic Universe Ranked Worst-to-Best

Published by Jared Kunz on

24 – Captain Marvel (takes place in 1995)

The worst movie. Just a lame, boring movie, in-my-opinion.

23 – Iron Man 2 (takes place after Iron Man)

I don’t even remember exactly what happens, all I remember is Iron Man/Tony Stark is really obnoxious and the movie is boring.

22 – Thor: Dark World (post-Avengers, pre-Ultron)

A decent movie, it has it’s moments but it’s kind of a sleeper.

21 – The Incredible Hulk (time unspecified, pre-Avengers)

It was great when it first came out, but it just isn’t as great anymore.

20 – Captain America: The First Avenger (takes place during WWII)

Definitely gets the MCU off to a good start. Red Skull is cool.

19 – Iron Man (takes place in 2010)

I like Iron Man alot. Tony Stark is annoying but he hasn’t reached maximum obnoxiousness in this film yet.

18 – Iron Man 3 (takes place six months after The Avengers)

This movie is a solid entry to close out the Iron Man series with a more humbled Tony Stark.

17 – Captain America: Civil War (post-Ultron, pre-Infinity War)

This is quite a wild ride, but it does get confusing at times.

16 – Captain America: Winter Soldier (post-Avengers, pre-Ultron)

This is a good solid MCU movie.

15 – Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (after Guardians)

I had hoped for more from this movie. It was good but not as great as it could have been. The sound track was killer though.

14 – Ant-Man and The Wasp (ambiguous, but fits nicely between IW and Endgame)

This is a very good film. Not quite as good as the first Ant Man, yet, what is as good as the first one?

13 – Thor (takes place six months before Avengers)

The first Thor in MCU, a classic.

12 – Black Widow

Not many people liked this movie, not many people saw it. I personally thought it was great and hilarious.

11 – Avengers: Age of Ultron (takes place in 2015)

Ultron is awesome. Let’s admit it, AI takes over the world. What’s cooler than that?

10 – Spider-Man: Homecoming (post-Civil War, pre-Infinity War)

A solid Spider-Man film. One of the best.

9- Doctor Strange (takes place in 2016)

Doctor Strange combines great acting, great story, great effects.

8 – Avengers: Endgame (starts in 2017, finishes in 2022)

Hailed as one of the best movies ever, yada yada. It’s only number 8 on my list. It was kind of ho hum at times.

7- Spider-Man: Far From Home (post-Endgame)

Kind of a toss up between this and homecoming yet they’re both great.

6 – The Avengers (takes place in 2012)

The first Avengers in the MCU. Amazing stuff.

5 – Black Panther

This is a classic. An incredible film. Great acting, great costumes, design, all around superb.

4- Avengers: Infinity War (takes place in 2017)

Very good, one of the best films, ever.

3 – Guardians of the Galaxy (sometime in 2014)

Probably one of my all time favorite films, next to Star Wars, LOTR, Hobbit, etc.

2 – Ant-Man (takes place in 2015)

I never get bored of watching this movie for some reason. Baskin Robbins always finds out.

1 – Thor: Ragnarok (post-Ultron, pre-Infinity War)

This. This is the best one. Zeppelin’s Immigrant Song playing throughout. Short haired Thor. The director plays a rock alien guy. You can’t beat this one. It’s unstoppable. I never get tired of watching it. It’s the greatest.
